Pending the full review, more thorough, we wanted to make a preview of the new Meizu Pro 5we received a preview during the official presentation of last September 23.
Meizu Pro 5 has a shell made of magnesium alloy and aluminum. The dimensions are 7.5 x 78 x 156.7 mm for a weight of 168 grams. Despite the generous size, ergonomics is good thanks to the many optimization software for use with only one hand.
Among the hardware features we a SuperAMOLED display 5.7 “Full HD (1920 x 1080) protected by a glass Gorilla Glass 3 2.5 D, slightly curved at the edges. Good quality, absolute black, and viewing angles that albeit very large tend to veer slightly off colors.
The processor is a Exynos Samsung 7420 (same as Galaxy S6), made with Finfets 14 nm fabrication process. The GPU is a Mali-T460. Two cuts available that will then differentiate even the RAM inside, the first with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage memory, the version we have, and one with 4 GB and 64 gigs of internal memory. Both are expandable via microSD.
2 g/3 g and 4 g networks are supported but lacks the gang at 800 MHz. Present all the various motion sensors and a good GPS receiver. For our thoughts on phone and connectivity we refer to the review that we will do with the final firmware.
The photographic industry is characterized by a rear sensor from Sony IMX 21 Mpxl, 230, (f/2.2 openings, fast photo capture in 0.17 seconds), slightly bulging with dual-LED flash and auto focus laser, before we have a sensor from 5 Mpxl (OV5670 of OmniVision, f/2.2 focal opening)
Complete the features a dedicated audio chip, combined by already known OPA1612 with the great ES9018, compatible with standard Hi-Fi 2.0, dual MIC for noise reduction and USB port Type-C (which can also be used in USB 2.0 format) in addition to connectivity Wi-Fi, NFC andBluetooth.

On the front we have a home button which also acts as a fingerprint reader, proximity sensor, brightness and notification LED. The battery is from 3050mAh’s support fast charging mCharge (up to 65% in 30 minutes). Great autonomy.
When will come on the market, Meizu Pro 5 will be based on the new interface Flame 5.0. In this version we have a test, at present, we have the version 4.5. The premise, however, are great: does not heat and the battery lasts a lot.
The web browser performs well so the Fund gaminig that allows our reference game, Real Racing 3, to “turn” with much fluidity. Definitely good audio quality, rich in high and low tones.
Overall, in this preview the Meizu Pro 5 for now she definitely convinced but will be back to try it with the final firmware version.
