ComScore has released data about the spread of smartphones and mobile operating systems in the US market in the third quarter of 2015. Starting with the large numbers, customers who use a smartphone on American soil are well 191.1 million, with a market penetration equal to77.1% of the population.
Data analysis, reflect in the three tables below, we can see that Apple is still the top producer in the U.S. with a market share of 44.1%, an increase of 0.6 percentage points compared with the previous quarter.
Right behind are Samsung mail to 27.4% and a decrease of 1.3 percentage points well, followed in turn by LG to 9%, an increase of 0.9 points and Motorola and HTC respectively at4.7% and 3.4% and a decrease of 0.2 and 0.1 percentage points.
Passing instead to the analysis of popular operating systems, we find Android in head with 51.7% market share, slightly down by 0.4 points compared with the previous quarter. iOSexactly mirrors the results obtained by Apple as a producer and came in second with a market share of 44.1%, while Windows Phone is in third place with a drop of 0.1 points which led him to have a market share of 2.9%.
